    Cool stuff Justin!

Think this is a area where people really need to listen to what you are saying and hope they appreciate your time doing this video for them. The challenges keep coming as you say and I would even say that we need those to push us to the next level.

Thanks for sharing this today because funny how things work out but I have facing a few problems in a couple of projects lately and needed to be reminded that it is just part of the process.

Hope all is well my friend and will try to catch up soon.

      Hey Chris,

Great to hear from you man. I know you’ve been in business for a long time and the fact that you are still blasting through your challenges tells us everything we need to know!! They simply never go away.

What CAN go away is our perceived “pain” that comes with the challenges.

Sounds like we are both on the same page.

Thanks for you comment… chat soon :)

The negativity of disqualifying yourself when challenged is bad on many levels. Not only are you training yourself to fail by not attempting the task, you create a greater gap in how far you must reach next time to succeed. Maybe worst of all, as challenges accrue, to prove you were right about failing in the past, you must continue to fail in the future! (The dark side of personal integrity.)

      Hey David

Yeah man you nailed it. The power of momentum works… in BOTH directions. That’s why I consider this idea so powerful. If you don’t take control of your mind and the way you perceive your challenges, you could be setting yourself up for frustration and disappointment.

      thanks

    Hi!

I came across your video and I just wanted to say it was very insightful. I’m 20 years old and currently studying at a University. Although I don’t have any professional background yet, I feel as though I can apply what you said to my daily and academic life.

    Thanks for Sharing. Cheers!

      Hey Martin

Thanks for your comment. I’m glad to hear that you find the message relevant for your studies. That actually makes me quite happy because I started my biz in the early days speaking at colleges. I didn’t really know what I was doing back then but I always felt like students appreciated this kind of message.

I’m curious how you came across this post? Are you on my list or did you see it on Twitter? Or maybe somewhere else?

      thanks

    Really good stuff Justin.

Yeah, recently I’ve been thinking about my purpose in life. As far back as I can remember it is to stand in front of people and teach them how to be successful in life. Trouble is I feel unworthy to do this even though it is all I think of day and day out.

Mindset is powerful. When we allow the wild monkey loose inside our head to run amuck with doubt, fear, and unworthiness we end up coasting through life all the way to the end and wonder… why was I never able to go for my dream. I fear this. It is not what I want, yet it is almost as if I am haunted.

I work every day at improving myself, my attitude, and my staying focused on the vision in my head. And then… I coast.

Thanks for a great video. You always hit the nail on the head. I will continue to fail forward until I meet with success in some unexpected hour.

      Hey Spencer,

Wow… powerful comment and I applaud you for sharing this. You are probably verbalizing the conversation that MANY people are having in their own heads as we speak.

I have struggled with the exact same problem and I am happy to say that, for the most part, I have conquered this “doubting” side of myself and now spend most of my time appreciating my successes and driving myself forward toward continuous improvement.

If you have any youtube videos of you sharing you message, let me know, I would be happy to take a look and provide my personal feedback. Video creation has been a HUGE game changer for me and many people I have talked to about this topic.

      thanks for your comment :D

Thank you for this. This is really what I needed to hear today. I have been through a period that I just criticize myself and feel I am unable to succeed at anything. Yet many years ago I just set a challenge to myself and was able to achieve it.
So perhaps is time for me to look at my business as a challenge and change my mindset to go and get it.

    Thank you

      Hey Andrea,

So glad this post helped you today. Don’t you just HATE when your mind plays tricks on you like that and you start convincing yourself that you cannot succeed?

If you can cultivate that feeling and just become “fed up” with that mind set, I believe you will have tremendous energy to embrace that challenge and come out a huge winner.

Keep me in the loop as you make more progress toward your business goal.

    Hi Justin,
As usual, I agree with every word you said. When I look back at the last year, I can see that I’ve come a long way about some things. I can still find ways to put things off that I don’t want to do but really must do. In most cases it turns out to be much easier than I built it up to be. The good thing is that having that knowledge helps me to confront the next “challenges” sooner.

    Thanks, Justin. Right once again!

      Hey Diane,

Glad you liked the post :D Sounds like you are making a lot of progress which is the main thing. Of course, we can always improve in this area and it sounds like you are doing just that. And I think most people experience the same thing when it comes to “putting off” certain things because we think they will be difficult. In the end they are often easier than we imagined!

Spot on Justin -you just saw into my head – I’d better turn that webcam off now! I’m speaking as a baby boomer struggling with how to put all those many pieces together while at the same time they are changing shape. Confidence becomes a big issue.

I see your point about breaking each step down into little bite size pieces and accepting each of those as an opportunity for growth. Then celebrate and reward ourselves each time we succeed. Within no time they will be seen as just part of a tasty morsel.

    Thank you

Hey Colin… I’m glad this connected with you and gave you a boost.
If confidence is an ongoing issue, I can’t recommend the book “Law Of Success” by Napoleon Hill enough. There is an entire chapter dedicated to the development of self confidence and I use it all the time as a confidence booster.
Hope you got some renewed energy and confidence from this post and I look forward to hearing updates about your progress
      thanks :)

    Hi Justin

I can speak from my own experience, when it comes to setting goals and achieving progress whit them. I had to make a big career change due to serious back problems. I was forced to stay at home for more then 6 months before i had surgery. In that period I had a lot of time to think about what possibilities there would be for me when I couldn’t get back to my old line of work after recovering from the surgery. During the period I had to stay at home I was often thinking about doing something whit an online business, but each time I was held back by the fact that I wouldn’t be able to succeed, as there is so much competition. After making a good schedule and plan I took the step to be working from home I set myself realistic goals at the time. Now two years later I am glad to have made that decision, by following my own goals and changing my mindset from “it’s going to be hard to succeed online to I can do it but only in my own pace”. I have seen my business growing constantly the last years. Although most of my work I spend building websites for clients. I have been building several websites for my own online businesses as well. My goal is to be able to make a living of my online business. What I have learned that you should be taking action and believe in yourself and whenever you fail don’t let your head down. Instead of telling yourself I can’t do that. If you put in the right amount of time and effort you will get there.

    All the best

      Hey Frank,

Great comment thanks for sharing your story. The key thing is that you are making progress and in my experience, that is really the key. Progress makes you happy and gives you excitement.

As for the competition… I agree but it is also just a reality in life.. period. Any entrepreneurial venture is going to be insanely competitive. But if you are constantly attacking your challenges and growing, you will separate yourself from any competition in due time.

      thanks again :)

    Hey Justin,

You are spot on with your comments. I have found that whatever task you have in front of you has to be met with the right mindset. Frustration easily sets in when we allow ourselves to develop a self-defeating attitude. In most cases, just jumping that first hurdle makes it easier to jump each succeeding hurdle.

Thanks for the kick in the pants!

You’re right. I like the analogy of being an olympic hurdler and literally running full speed towards our obstacles… and simply jumping right over them. If you think/feel this way, you are far more likely to make huge progress.

This is a great message Justin! Actionable steps require different levels of challenges. And seeing these challenges in a positive mindset, rather than, as you say, too difficult to accomplish… soon you will see yourself achieving success each and every day.

I like to offer an idea I share … write 3 things you want to accomplish the night before. The next day, wake up and attack those 3 things BEFORE moving onto anything else.

It is amazing how you can ‘chunk down’ your day and create amazing positive results when you commit and just do it.

Looking forward to more of your awesome inspiring and motivating tips and advice!

      Hey Lynn

Thanks for your comment. Your idea about having 3 tangible actions already pre-determined before you start your day… is HUGE.

I have used 5 actions in implementing this exercise but the number doesn’t really matter. Knowing your plan is the key and staying organized and extremely action oriented will create huge wins.

Great tip, thanks for sharing it

Great!!! That is a good audio program that is TRULY about self worth and self belief. OBVIOUSLY it has to be backed by delivering great value but that is assumed.

I’m so glad you found my content useful and I encourage you to come back often as I will be releasing a ton of motivational content in the coming months.
