Warrior Forum 2012 Event Recap

This past weekend, March 10-11 2012, I attended the Warrior Event in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event was put together by Sam England and Brian McLeod and it was a great success.

If you have ever attended a conference like this, you know how powerful it can be for growing your business to new levels. The speakers were excellent and the networking was amazing. I met so many interesting and successful people all of whom had their own ideas, strategies and stories to share.

I have 8 or 9 major takeaways that I am going to be implementing into my own business ASAP.

The Speaker Line Up:

The speakers at the event included Brad Gosse, Anthony Aires, Charles Kirkland, Kevin Rogers and Ben Johnson, Bolaji O, Rachel Rofe, Dennis Becker, Barry Plaskow and Roger Dagenais, Dr. Ben Adkins, Russ Ruffino and Adam Nolan, Maria Gudelis and Tina Williams, and Willie Crawford.

All of the speakers did an excellent job and each one brought their own unique style and some really awesome content to the table.

Rather than giving you some of my notes or a summary of the event, I asked some of the people I connected with to get on camera with me and tell you exactly what they took away from this event. Check it out:

      Hey Sue

Haha this video series is indicative of the crowd. There was about a 10:1 ratio men to women so I was very happy to get Carolyn on board.

I wanted to interview Rachel Rofe but every time I saw her she was being interviewed or talking to someone else… Popular lady :)

      thanks for watching

    Thanks for sharing Justin!

I wanted to attend this event so bad, just did not work out this year. Had back surgery and not healed enough to travel that far.

Always next year though and plan to be there come hell or high water.

Awesome collection of interviews here Justin (not because I’m there lol).

Seriously, you pulled me out of my comfort zone and how can I refuse an interview with Justin P! This was my first video, believe it or not.

It was a great experience meeting with you and just having a good time during the event.

As Justin said, conferences and meetups can take
your business to new levels. Meet new friends and forge new partnerships.

See you on the next one!

    Justin,

That’s a great series of interviews. I was also wondering where all the women were.

Sometimes it feels like an uphill battle to get recognized by the “boys club.”

Glad you had a great weekend.

      Hey Debbie,

Hopefully you can make the next one and increase the “lady” count LOL. Seriously it would be great to have a better male to female ratio…. and I think most of the men would agree :D

    Justin,

    A) Thanks for coming, it was great seeing you again.

    B) Nice work interviewing everybody!

    @Sue & @Deb B (hi!)

There will be more women when women finally stop asking where all the women are and start to SHOW UP!

Seriously, we would LOVE to have more of the smart, talented women we all know get involved. You can see how many do/did.

    Let’s change that!

    Best,

    Brian McLeod

      Hey Brian,

Thanks for the comment. Awesome job this weekend and on the mic.

And as I mentioned to Debbie as well…I agree, hopefully more ladies can make it out to the next one.

Really looking forward to it. You guys put on a good show!

    Hey Justin,

Nice recap of events, it was an awesome weekend ! My perspective is a bit different than the other on this forum, I networked with several women over 2 days…just because only 3 of the 16 speakers were women, it does not mean that there weren’t awesome women who are killin it present. I spoke with one women who traveled from England, just for 3 days to attend the event. A few of us did challenge each other to get on the map so will can be speakers at the next event. I agree with Brian, we have to show and and participate, I don’t think anyone is keeping us out !

Hey Vivian… yeah I Was amazed at how many people showed up from overseas. I think I met at least a dozen people who flew over 6 hours to be there.

Would be awesome to see you and some other ladies speaking at the next one. I’m sure we could all learn a lot from you :)

    Hey Justin,
What great videos! So nice to get to see some of the people I buy products from or whose email lists I’m on…especially since I couldn’t be there. Finally getting to meet everyone must be so cool.

You’re a good interviewer, Justin…you made each person comfortable. Good job!

Thanks for doing these vids. I’m sure lots of people will enjoy them.

      Hey Diane,

Glad you liked the interviews. There were SO many great people there and I wish I could have interviewed all of them.

Thankfully, all of the folks above were available and they all did an awesome job giving us their perspective on the event.

Hopefully you can make the next event and we can finally meet in person :D

So much fun this past weekend!

I think my biggest takeaway was to shoot more video.

In fact that’s how I’ll be spending most of my day today. Shooting video for all the awesome people I met at the event this past weekend.

      Hey Man

That was a HUGE theme on the weekend… good for you for taking action on it. I full intend to do even more video than before.

So I challenge you to see who can put out more vids by the next event.

      Ready…. GO!!!!

Hey man it was awesome to meet you this weekend, just so everyone knows, Justin is a GREAT guy, and knows his stuff back and forth. Also meant a lot to be in the presence of all of those successful people in the room. I was nervous, but then pleasantly surprised at how down to Earth everyone was.

Also, Gerry and Sriram are legitimately cool guys and it was cool to hang out with them too, super smart guys. I DID manage to drunkenly mistake Sean for Russ Ruffino somehow… we’ll blame booze for that one. Anyways, anyone who didn’t make it should really try for the fall or next year, truly a powerful networking opportunity.
