    Great talk man!

I had never thought of just “roundhouse kicking Google in the face” to get better rankings.

Thanks for posting this for those of us who might have missed out on WordCamp. I was out of town for a marketing training, sadly. I’m looking forward to attending next year.

Just had a look at the slides very impressive presentation. I liked how you used the Ape theme for the evolution right through to the big gun of Chuck Noris. Some great info about SEO. Look forward to watching the video.Keep up the great work!

Great talk Justin, it was clear and concise. I think it goes without saying, your program is very user-friendy. Thanks for posting.

    Hi Justin,

    Here’s my dilemma:

In the past, I was filing new WordPress posts under multiple categories. Now, after watching your presentation above, I realize this could hurt the site’s ranking because of duplicate content.

Sure enough, according to Google’s webmaster tools, I have duplicate title tags pointing to the same content.

I have since gone back to a few previous posts and made sure there is only one category per post, however the damage is out there:

This month in real estate – video for April 2010 by Fresno real estate agent, Joseph Hollak

    /fresno-real-estate-video/real-estate-video-april-2010/

Now that I have duplicate title tags from the past mistake of filing a post under multiple categories, how do I clean this up?

    Thank you,

    Joseph Hollak

    Hey Joseph,

Hmm. I don’t think the category settings would make a difference. For example, on my coaching blog IgniteYourEssence.com, I have a number of posts that I have placed into 3,4 and sometimes 5 categories when applicable.

My webmaster tools shows zero duplicate content warnings.

What are your permalink settings in your WP dashboard?
